Canucks Pull Off Unlikely Comeback

Vancouver Wins 5-4 in Edmonton

The Vancouver Canucks pulled off an unlikely comeback coming from three goals down to win 5-4 against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

The Oilers opened the scoring halfway through the first period before the Canucks tied it up just minutes later. Edmonton scored again to take a 2-1 lead into the intermission. The Oilers scored two more goals in the second period to take a commanding 4-1 lead.

The Canucks came out firing in the third period. Brock Boeser scored a power play goal to get the team within two. JT Miller scored a shorthanded goal just minutes later to bring the Canucks to within one. Boeser tied the game for the Canucks just seven minutes into the third period. Miller scored the game-winning goal with less than five minutes remaining in the game.

The Canucks' win snapped a two-game losing streak and improved their record to 45-29-8 on the season. The Oilers fell to 48-28-6 with the loss.
